Launching Simple Sign in nine markets

Simple Sign is launching in nine international markets, starting with US and Sweden. Currently we are building an organisational network with headquarters in Miami, Florida and in Stockholm. Within the next eight months, we will be building branch offices in Norway, Finland, Denmark, Italy, France, Germany and Spain.

Simple Sign launched in 2012, as a result of us finding that international commerce — even long-distance domestic business — was often held up by the fact that transactions required signatures. As with most 21st century businesses, we found that traditional signatures often required weeks to attain because non-digital agreements require physical mail or couriers.

What we discovered is that both the United States and the European Union qualify electronic signatures as both authentic and valid, which makes them legally binding. However, we were not satisfied with the quality of the majority of the eSignature service providers we vetted.

So, in order to help our own business operations run smoother and to provide better service to our clients at a much faster rate, we developed an eSignature service for our clients. The response to our eSignature service was tremendous. As much as for the products and services we provided, we were complimented for the efficiency of our eSignature system and the sense of security it gave our clients.

So, we decided to make a Saas business out of our eSignature model and it started to grow, even though it was originally little more than a side business. But, again, our eSignature program garnered nothing but positive responses. So, in 2014, we began dedicating more time and resources to Simple Sign in order to take it to the next step. We added to the size of our team and began marketing our product’s efficiency and security.

Four years after we developed the idea of a secure eSignature solution, our first 10 paying customers are still with us. In addition to their support, today we have some of the biggest companies in Sweden using Simple Sign on a daily basis.

Even though we are beginning to expand to a much greater degree than we had ever expected, we are still driven by the same concerns we had in 2012 when we were looking to develop an in-house eSignature program. Is our service and adaptation to our customer needs fast and friendly? Are we following the U.S. and E.U. guidelines to ensure our customers eSignatures are valid, authentic and legally binding? And, do we track the transaction from the first step to the last?

The answer is, of course, “yes!”

Even if we grow exponentially, we will remain the personal SaaS product that focused on our customers needs.
